ABOUT DALMUN X
DalMUN is the official student-led Model United Nations conference that has been held annually in Cheongna Dalton School since 2015. With this year’s conference being the 10th annual DalMUN event, DalMUN has proven to be one of the most successful events that continues to grow every year.
Model United Nations is a simulated conference of the official United Nations and participants receive the opportunity to freely discuss agendas of their choice with their peers. The range of agendas varies from humanitarian issues to global security, thus welcoming every student to further develop their knowledge on their area of interest. It is not only a great opportunity to expand one’s knowledge, but it also promotes cooperation within a designated committee.
The event is also aligned with the core values of our school: the 6Cs. In particular, it emphasizes ‘Communication’ and ‘Collaboration.’ In the overall process of debate, students are able to grow their communication skills and enhance their public speaking skills by sharing their country stances. In the process of drafting resolutions and submitting amendments, they are able to further improve upon their collaboration skills as they need to come up with a unified resolution.
