ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The DalMUN conference is an academic simulation of the United Nations in which students represent assigned countries and debate significant global issues. In 2026, the twelfth annual conference continues DalMUN’s tradition of providing students with an engaging environment in which to explore international affairs, diplomacy, and decision-making.

Across committees, delegates discuss topics ranging from humanitarian crises and human rights to international peace and security. They present and defend their countries’ positions, respond to opposing perspectives, negotiate with fellow delegates, and work toward practical solutions. Through speeches, caucuses, draft resolutions, amendments, and voting procedures, participants experience the process of multilateral debate and learn how international cooperation develops through discussion, negotiation, and compromise.

The conference also reflects Cheongna Dalton School’s core values, the 6 Cs, particularly Communication and Collaboration. Delegates strengthen their public-speaking, critical-thinking, and negotiation skills while learning to listen, build consensus, and cooperate with others in addressing complex global challenges.
